- revolt after revolt, hyunjin fights - and god's unkillable child continues to live up to her name. she thinks, maybe, they'll still praise her and god in the same breath. that she's still chosen.
- but the people don't become scared. they become angry.
- "what are we going to do? hyunjin isn't working fast enough - they'll burn our entire kingdom down. they'll kill us."
- "...she's still on the road. the guards can intercept her at the next checkpoint for treason."
- "what?"
- "and then, with mercy, we will leave unified silla. wang geon wants this land and these ungrateful commoners so bad - we'll give it to him."
- "....she's our daughter. she's the crown princess."
- "she's the mad dog. those deaths are all on her. she's nothing but a monster."
- with eyes closed, all of their fingers lift, pointing at the common enemy.

- she's told she's in hell. she's told she's alone here, with no family to count. this makes sense to her.
- she's offered a job as a "war whisperer". similar to the horsemen conquest, hyunjin brings on conflict among people, pushing both sides into the direction of mutually assured destruction."you seem unsurprised of your circumstances... comfortable, even." the guide seems slightly unsettled by her, even more so when horns begin to poke out of her temples."well, you know what they say. war is hell."- so she's right at home, really.
- it isn't until years later does she learn how demons are born. how mortal souls are twisted and turned, how only the strongest adapt and accept their natures in hell. the guide doesn't forget how the girl in hell for only an hour started to grow horns.EARTH, 1683: THE END OF THE QING DYNASTY FEAT. - she hears him rushing to undress, dipping into the hot tub with her moments after. hyunjin lifts a hand, fingers beckoning him closer. when he tries to kiss her, she stops him, guiding his head down below
- when he starts to struggle from under the water, she laughs first
- only then does she lift his head above water, grinning while he gasps for air- "you have something my boss needs. where is the head of john?"
- "you're fucking crazy!"
- "apt. where is it?"
- "i don't know, you crazy tourist bitch, check the museu--"- down he goes again, hyunjin's smile growing
- "we both know most artifacts in museums are fakes. you're so well liked among the church... their little smuggler on payroll. all of the last records of the head point to you. i want it. give it to me."- he tries to protest, and she forces him back down. the gurgling sounds are funny. why do they always scream from underwater?- "let's try this again, sweetheart. the emperor of hell requires the head of john. you can either give it to me, or i can rip you apart piece by piece, and i'll find it anyways. what's it going to be?"
- "wait -- wait!! i want a deal - the devil makes deals, and i want one!"
- she only smiles again, gently caressing his cheek.
- "oh, foolish, foolish baby. i am not the devil. i don't cut deals on his behalf."
- she leans in close, whispering in his ear
- "i make good on my threats."
- she rips his earlobe off her with teeth, spitting it out into the water. it turns such a pretty color while he screams.- she returns to hell in a day's time, and drops the head off at her boss' desk. when he dismisses her after a job well done, she smiles.HEAVEN, 2022: THE DEVIL'S REPRESENTATIVE

- war has been waging between heaven and hell since 2020, and heaven is really not doing well.the gates of heaven, blinding and colossal for no good reason, catch a gleam from every angle, shimmering against the light. it hurts her eyes to look at. still, hyunjin smiles, polite and patient for the entirety of her wait. an hour passes before they finally open, the disdain on michael's face growing the closer he gets. and still, she smiles."why am i meeting with lucifer's lapdog? where is beelzebub?""you'll hurt my feelings, michael. unless this is how you flirt?" her smile twist to grin, the way she moves like a bloodhound, nose first, "our executive suite is busy with the end of the second quarter. i'm sure you can understand and willing to discuss with me, hm? what do you say?" a glint from the gate shows on her canines, "us two lapdogs can settle this, can't we?"- niceties aside, she really wants to take his heart and give it to her king

has two pale ram horns. it's annoying, honestly, how everyone can see what she's been up to just by looking at her horns.the nose of a bloodhound - she learns from her own hellhounds. if there's a whif of purity, she'll find it - and she'll snuff it out.made out of material that could kill anything but the devil and god themselves. she's still working on finding a loophole for god.in a puff of suffocating black smoke. can only go short distances, and she has to be able to know where she's going.
